Too old for toys, not quite in women’s sizes, and hormonal can sometimes be a perfect recipe for “tricky to shop for”. At least this is what I hear from a lot of my pals with teenaged girls.
Lucky for me, I have one of my own, and while she is all of the above, she is also delighted with everything, super thoughtful, and easy to please! She readily agreed when I asked her to choose the gifts she and her besties would love to get this year.
This Teen Girls Gift Guide comes to you complete with her own commentary!
1. Pocket Leggings – You’ll find me in leggings 3-4 days a week because they’re so comfy! Pockets are a MUST so I can carry my phone around. I love these from Athleta Girl (I’m short), but if you are in women’s sizes here is a similar style by Zella: Pocket Leggings (Women’s).
2. Blue Light Glasses – Blue Light glasses reduce the amount of blue light your eyes see (obviously) so you don’t get headaches. Since I’m doing online learning at home, I’m staring at the computer all day, so these will help. They are very popular right now!
3. AirPods – AirPods are a great gift, and on my wish list this year! It’s nice to be able to listen to music while you can’t be right next to your phone. There are lots of cute cases you can get to go on them, too, which would be a fun stocking stuffer.
4. Essential Oil Diffuser – I love this diffuser because it’s very simple and it lights up! I use it all the time and it makes my room smell so nice.
5. Flexible Smartphone Tripod – I’ve been working on my own YouTube channel, so it’s fun to have this to carry around while I’m shooting video! The legs are bendy and twisty so you can wrap them around stuff and attach them to different surfaces.
6. Blow Dryer Brush – I love this hair dryer because it has a built-in brush and makes drying your hair so easy and fast! I used to let my hair air dry, but now I dry it every time I wash it. When I use this, my hair turns out really shiny and smooth. It may or may not have found its way from my mom’s bathroom drawer to my own! Lol!
7. Penny Board – Penny boards are really fun to ride (and a lot easier than full length boards), and I personally love how they look! You can get so many different color combos. A lot of my friends have these.
8. Leopard Print Beanie – My mom showed me this beanie…and I fell in love with it! It’s so cute and fashionable and would look so perfect with any winter outfit!
9. Nike Air Force 1s – These are the trendy shoes, but the trend has lasted a while. They are comfy and can match with everything. I wear mine all. the. time. and I love them!
10. Comfy Sweats – I got these before the start of my school year, and they are SO comfy and cute. Mine are a bit big since I am short (they are one size fits all), but they are good with any top!
11. James Charles Eyeshadow Palette – This palette by James Charles is so beautiful! All the colors are so vibrant. I watch James Charles on YouTube all the time and his makeup is always amazing!
12. Vans Slip-on Sneakers – I am asking for new white Vans. So many kids I know wear these. They have plain and checkered (and lots of patterns/colors, really). I love these because they are simple and easy to slip on!
(Karen writing now) Can I just say this was SO fun, getting to share my work with my kids this week? #luckymama Stay tuned for Ben’s Gift Guide for Teen Boys, coming your way soon! Merry, merry, everyone! Maddie and I would love to hear if she was able to help you cross any shopping off your list!
